Living in a cave created by a cliff top road overlooking Brisbane city Karen is a prominent figure in the homeless community. A drifting presence of family and friends also sleep and hang out in the shelter. A day respite for homeless around the corner provides some solace while drugs, alcohol, the weather and police make appearances the rest of the time day and night in her life. Meanwhile the city and river look on with the ever-present danger of the cliff edge so close.
